Philip Cornies

Philip N. Cornies, CPA, CA is the Regional Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of HUB International Limited’s Financial Services, Great Plains, Mid-America, Southwest and Texas regions.

Phil began his career with HUB International in 1999 as the CFO of HUB Ontario in Brampton, Ontario.  In 2005, as Chief Administrative Officer (“CAO”), Phil administered the merger of two regions into what is now HUB International Midwest, based in Chicago, Illinois and Grand Rapids, MI.  From late 2006 through July, 2008, Phil was the CAO of another regional hub, HUB International Fortun in Miami, Florida. From 2008 to 2014 Phil served as the CFO for Hub Texas in Fort Worth, Texas.  In 2015, Phil relocated back to Hub’s home office in Chicago as Vice President, Operations focusing on process improvements, operations best practice and system standardization.  At the end of 2016, Phil returned to a CFO role for five regional hubs.

Prior to joining HUB, Phil began his career with Deloitte and spent 10 years there before leaving as a Senior Manager.

He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.  Phil has a Bachelor of Arts, Chartered Accountancy degree from University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. 

Phil is Past-President of the Fort Worth Chapter of Financial Executives International and served on the board of this organization of senior financial executives from 2010 to 2015.

Phil resides in Hinsdale, Illinois with his wife Shari and their son, Ryan.
